Winter activities on the Segnesboden.

Activities in winter

Experience LAAX and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona during your winter activities and at the same time immerse yourself in the millennia-old history of the formation of our Alps. Be it on skis and snowboard or on touring skis and snowshoes. In 2008, the Sardona Tectonic Arena, together with an area of 32,800 hectares, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

With the FlemXpress you can get from Flims directly to Segnes to the Segneshütte. The Segneshütte is not only the optimal starting point for your adventures, it is also a perfect place to sit together after a tour and have something to eat or drink.

Skiing

LAAX is not just a place, but a feeling. A winter paradise for ski and snowboard enthusiasts with 224 kilometres of slopes, five unique snow parks, the largest halfpipe in the world and 29 lifts. LAAX – where hectic ends and adventure begins. You will love it!

Ski tours & snowshoeing

Experience the imposing Sardona tectonic arena on touring skis or snowshoes. Various routes lead from the Segneshütte to a summit or to another hut. Touring requires a lot of know-how and experience, because away from the secured slopes of LAAX you move at your own risk.

Pure nature

Nature Etiquette

We all love to experience untouched nature and enjoy the beauty of the places that visit during our winter activities. Therefore: Take nothing with you except memories – and leave nothing but footprints.

Please also note the following points:

  • Respect wildlife rest areas
  • Take your waste back with you
  • Enjoy the peace and quiet

Offers UNESCO World Heritage Sardona

The UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona can also be explored in winter. On a joint snowshoe tour, led by a GeoGuide with hiking guide training, you can understand and marvel at how the Alps were formed. The tour takes place on a signposted and secured snowshoe route.

Information about the Sardona Tectonic Arena is also available in the Visitor Pavilion.

The Visitor Pavilion is also open for you in winter.
